New GT3/GT2RS Leads With/Without ADM
#4171
I've heard that, but wouldn't it just be easier for them to sell at ADM like many Porsche dealers do and not deal with the games?

If anyone has a lead on GT3 or GT3 touring, without ADM, please send me a note. Thanks

There are three quantities in every transaction:
1. The total price the buyer pays.
2. The net price the seller receives
3. Transaction costs = 1 - 2
Both 1 and 2 are equally relevant as market prices. 1 is acceptable to a buyer and 2 is acceptable to a seller. 2 is a data point reflecting a price at which a seller is willing to sell, just like 1 is a price at which a buyer is willing to buy.

Aren't you a very strong advocate of "No ADM"? Then here you are saying Ferrari should follow the "game" Porsche dealers do by adding ADM.
The Ferrari business model of forcing/encouraging buyers to buy "regular" models in order to acquire "popular" Ferrari models is simply to increase sales and push inventory of cars that are not as popular or easy to sell. In this case it will generate profit and sales by Ferrari. Likewise Porsche dealers especially those who just remodeled and spent $million$ to make their dealerships new and appealing. Thus an increase in their allocation due to investment made to the dealership.

Exactly, it used to be that as a first time buyer if you wanted to order a new car you also had to pick up an FF or a Cali and then you'd have to option the 458 with 80 grand of carbon fiber crap.

There's a reason McLaren and Lamborghini exist and their success in part is due to the great business practices of Ferrari. It's a game at another level and life's too short.

So anybody have a line on a buildable GT3RS allocation? Just missed one at a local dealership—someone grabbed it two days ago. Not looking for a car on the ground. Lots of those available, but seems like dealers are building their allocations rather than letting customers spec them, which is silly. Dealers say oh sorry we don't have any allocations. Then two months later four GT cars show up the dealership spec'd with wonky options.

That's what I thought but every dealer I speak with says they can't get one. Then a few months later they call me and say they have a bunch on the lot. I'm like WTF... I don't want one you spec'd with 4 different colors and crappy options. I want to build my own.

Damn stealers...it's annoying when they hoard the allocations for themselves and load them up with bad option and/or weird combinations. Did you try dealers outside of CA?
