With somewhere between 2500 and 3000 GT3's for North America so far, there were too many for me to want to track. There are less 2018 Carrera S's. I'm pretty sure there are more 2018 GT3's than any other 911 model.

I don’t see 991.2 GT3s on Pors9’s site.

Certainly not a statistically valid sample, but sales at my dealership suggest that Tourings are on par with the # of 911Rs produced.
You are correct, there were slightly over 2,100 991.1 GT3 built. To date there are well over 2500 991.2 GT3 built.
The current N.A. estimate for 991.2 GT3 is 3,100 of which 30% or ~1k will be Touring, compared to just 323 911R built for N.A.

I also decided not to track base GT3 because of the sheer number. As of the last sales data I saw you are correct that base GT3 is by far the most common varient of 911 sold in 2018.

The basis for my earlier total of 991.2 GT cars was based on approx. 17-20 daily unit GT production, which was provided by another RL member. This can't be accurate if your total production of 11k holds up. In your total production count, what have you assumed for the number of months Porsche will build in 2019?

I only track 2019 GT3RS but I can share some insight into overall production.
Porsche currently produces more then 150 911’s per day, GT production is in line with sales at roughly 25-30%. Total 991.2 GT production over 19 active months will average ~45 units per day with ~17 per day built for NA. (7/17-3/19).
As an example just recently on 11/9/18 Porsche completed 18 GT3RS for NA alone, add in 2RS and base GT3 plus ROW and it shows at what volume they are pumping these cars out right now.

991.1 GT production was ~11,300.
I expect 911.2 Worldwide GT production will be ~17k with ~6,250 being destined for N.A.
Current estimates assume production through March.

Speedster - 1948 / 650
GT2RS - 2750 / 1000
GT3RS - 3950 / 1500
Base GT3 - 8350 / 3100

From what I have pulled this evening I see 2,205 GT3's for PCNA (U.S.) and 364 for PCL (Canada) all showing model year 2018. I can't see any 2019 GT3's in my tracking so far as I suspect January will be the start?

So far I see 818 2019 GT3RS for PCNA and 89 for PCL.

Thanks for the update Cam. Do you also track 2RS? I can second the 3RS production numbers, I have exactly the same count, 907 N.A. GT3RS as of today.

So about 10% of North America GT cars go to Canada and 90% to the US?

~15% depending on demand. PCNA will sell about ~10k 911’s in 2018 versus PCL’s ~2k for the year.

Got it. Do Canadian cars get a different type of VIN number or do they come from the same range of North American VIN numbers? How can you tell if a car is a US or Canadian car with your sources?

Correct, NHTSA VIN ranges cover both Canada and USA, PCNA covers USA, PCL covers Canada.

Here is my updated “registry.” Thank you for the PMs with corrections and adds.

In addition, there are 15 or so US and Canadian PTS tourings from Andre’s list which have, for the most part, not been delivered, and, in about six cases, I have not found pictures of (trips, second childhood, _michaelmorgan a few others). Meerblau and Irish Green leading with 4 each, Olive Green at 3 (and at least one more coming from Texascarlover) right behind.

Have you added Montoya’s list? There are only about 50 PTS Touring on it right now but I expect we’ll see ~15% of the ~1k N.A. Touring be PTS.

Yes. Montoya is Andre I referenced above. I went through the whole list as one of my sources and any that are on there I added to the “registry” if they were delivered and I could find a picture (I ran searches of the members’ posts), but I have yet to add the ones that have not been delivered (9) or for which I do not have pictures or other confirmation (6). Three listed as touring on Andre’s list are actually wing cars so I did not include them.

I am quite curious as to how many in total there will be. Less than half of the registry are Rennlist cars and we should see quite a few more made from now through the end of production. 150 total for North America sounds about right to me, but that is a WAG.

Yes, I am too.
Current N.A. estimates are 3,100 GT3, ~30% Touring and ~15% of those PTS.
So I agree with you, around ~150 PTS Touring estimated.

As of March 2018, there were only 49 US PTS Tourings, and 3 Canada PTS Tourings on track to be built. PTS did briefly open for the GT3 in November/December, plus some January builds, right? Anybody got an estimate number for the November-January PTS Tourings?
