holy crap, they are really cranking these suckers out! after just a few months there are almost as many over here as 991.1 RS's. And that was a car that people repeatedly posted should be dismissed because it was mass produced. This GT3.2 is going to be as common as a Honda Accord. Hopefully this means that everyone who wants one will get it!

personally I'm not getting the Bose for "sound quality" - I'm getting so that the system works at all - the normal stereo isn't beefy enough to overcome the ambient noise of a GT3 on the freeway - the Bose has enough "umph" to still be able to hear it at 75 mph on a Bay Area freeway
sound quality is not the issues and I agree it's a waste - but sound amplification is a whole other story.

Wow that Automobile article Cams posted is scary. First of all it talks about a 911 Hybrid. I can stomach that, but the next sentence talks about the 992 being the last of its kind because after than the 911 will be built on a cross platform called the SAZ platform short for sports car of the future. But whats sad is that VW group will put a bunch of cars all on the same platform and the 911 will cease having its own identity. Its going to be sucked into a huge corporate vacuum. SO the 992 will be the last of the unique 911s.
This GT3 will be my last Porsche.

Some nice folks on here have been tracking VINs on the RS. Its rather lengthy 2016 model year production run resulted in about 1500 cars to NA, 1300s -ish for USA based upon their numbers which were posted here.
I'm glad they are cranking these cars out, so us mere mortals can obtain them. For example, my dealer backed out of my initial RS build because a random person from who knows where offered a massive premium for my allocation. Obviously I was quite angry and it ruined an otherwise good relationship of 2-3 cars/year at that dealer. Thankfully due to the extended build run of RS's I was able to find another buildable allocation and now have a relationship at a new dealer which is fantastic- I now get their initial GT cars- hence my September 991.2 GT3 build. So build build build, these cars, they are for fun --not collecting!

I put up a poll here on RL and there are Q4 allocations (two people said 2019, but I assume that is delivery date not production), actually more Q4 than Q3 which, while far from scientific, suggests maybe the US gets more in 4Q as Europe has the emissions issue.

911 cars sure are very common.... just like them Accords eh.
Point is, who cares.... go get one (whether a GT3, GT2RS, GT3RS, or even the just as fun 911 Carrera) and effin drive it & enjoy it!

Is the GT3 production level dropping because they are starting to crank out GT2RSs?
