Racing pedigree is the rich DNA material that every manufacturer manipulates to further their successes. This is where road-going sports cars are developed and put to the ultimate validation process. To pay homage to the purest form of sports car racing, we formally introduce the WEC Roll / Harness bar for the 991 platform. Combining our vast racing experience and knowledge with our ability to design, construct and produce top tiered products, we pay homage to Porsche’s Nurburgring record holder; the highly anticipated 991 GT2RS.


Inspired by Porsche's 991 GT2 RS, the ultimate version of the 6 cylinder, rear engine sports car, we have been able to use our own racing experience and knowledge to design and produce this key element of the Nurburgring record holding car.

The 4-point design features an X-braced main hoop and rearward extending arms in order to tie shock towers together with another structural crossmember of the chassis. This bracing further stiffens the rear points of the chassis that assume the most stress.

We found this design offered the maximum increase in structural rigidity and the lowest additional weight while addressing driver and passenger safety thru the use of proper harness locations.

Highlights:
- Made of 4130 chrome-moly
-Tig welded to AWM specs and normalized.
-Can be used with stock seatbelts or 6 point harnesses for track use
-Laser notched joints for precision fit.
-Designed to work standard reclining seats or GT3 fixed back seats, offering drivers the ability to move the seat all the way back.
-No fabrication required. Instalation is 100% "bolt-in". Minor trimming to the carpet is necessary.
-Standard finish is a durable satin black powder-coat. Optional colors are available at an additional cost.

 

These pics above are from my GT3RS pictured below as the white really pops against the interior and exterior colors......it was just what I was looking for in a higher end bar with the upgraded safety I wanted while tracking this car.

I know we have sold a few bars but they have not been installed yet as the owners are waiting for their cars to come in but we will post pics soon.

 

@GMG - Have you shipped many of these cages yet? And do installers need to do anything differently to install these? My dealer recommends your rollbars but hasn’t done any of these installs yet.

 

The shop in Irvine has absolutely no affiliation with GMG, in fact, they are trying to copy our version with not much success.
Make sure you look at the quality of the welding, the design as well as the installation required for any harness bar you are considering.
