Default Final Configuration aka 991R. Opinion Please

Ok, I have been digging miami blue and chalk for a long time. Going forth and back with each time I saw these colours in different light conditions...

What I have finally learnt is that I am pointlessly forcing myself to get a car in a different colour than the one I really like- plain white. Main reason was that I have always had white cars and wanted to try something different this time. I also think that GT3 deserves a COLOUR. Unfortunately there is nothing interesting for me in the present palette. PTS is out of reach.

So here I thought I would configure my car and decal it the way most 911Rs appear. Decal colour combo still to be decided but I think I would do black/yellow/red or black/yellow/green.

Still I am not sure about the rims. Satin black or Aluminium.

What do you guys think? Will this decal set-up fit GT3?

My configuration is PJ42WGH6. Any feedback on this configuration also appreciated!

Have to agree, the current palette is so meh. But white is always classic and will always fit a GT3 well. I'm not a big stickers guy but the examples you provided look pretty good with the R trim.

Like the Satin Aluminum rims but not a fan of the 911R stripes. There are some other designs you can choose

I dig the R stripes and part of me wants them on my GT3.. but putting them on a GT3-T, is a bit poser... no?

+1 to this question.....as I am going to let the 'R' guys enjoy that distinction on that gorgeous car.....though admittedly I am not a decal guy. But .....if a center stripe or GT3 of GT3R concept came out...why not if you like decals...but I am not one to put 'R' stripes on my GT3T.

If you were to put 911R stripes on it, you'll have to do it aftermarket (Porsche won't). Let the 911R have them - the Touring model has it's own identity and doesn't need any of the 911R's spotlight.

Agree with others on this. A GT3 in any configuration is something to be proud of. making it an R tribute or clone or whatever is a disservice to both badges, IMHO. Decal it all you want, but not with R stripes.

Not my cup of tea, but do whatever makes you smile. The best thing about stickers, just peal them off if you change your mind.

Any GT3 as it is, is already an awesome car to own and drive.

What comment would you rather have on your new toy, "Wow, Nice looking GT3." or "Wow a 911R poser."

Your choice.

Drive safe,

Put the stripes on your 'half-price R' if they look good to you, and own them. Who cares what other people think? Plus, is it a "poser" if it's better than the "original"?

Can't make everyone happy: Some are offended by GT3 Touring and others (like you) seem offended by 911R.2 moniker.

Lighten up - don't take everything so seriously, you'll enjoy life better (or maybe not).
