LOL.
bhart192, I made that choice about 9 months ago, so it was an easy choice then. A little different now with all the uncertainty and flying rumours. If you are in a hurry, get the 2016 now, and see what happens with the 2018 market after the winter months. Worst case scenario: 2018/2019 GT3's allocations are available at MSRP and you take a depreciation hit with the older used car. If you're not in a hurry, then just sit tight and see what happens after the winter months. Worst case scenario: there are no more 2018/2019 allocations, and you buy a 2016 at $150's.

I'll sell my '16 in the 150's. Actually supposed to be selling mine back to the dealer next month and euro delivery in November. I just want to get my tax credit, but sure a dealer would do an "in and out".

That's what I just did with my 16 plus buyer was able to add cpo win win for all

I see most dealer advertised 16s are still $10-20 over MSRP at this time. I'm curious to know what they offer on trade-in.

Not 150+, definitely not over MSRP. Maybe not as big a hit as a 14 or 15 model. My dealer is really anxious to get the 16 as the requests for one is more than that of a 14 or 15 model, even with the warranty.
My dealer is willing to CPO the car for a buyer at cost. I've got their range of valuation based on condition of what they'll offer at trade, but obviously I could get more outright. Is it worth shorting the dealership their profit? I'm not so sure, as I want to remain in good standing for newer models down the line. I haven't actively pursued selling my car, but if someone came along making the inquiry, I'd definitely consider it.

It doesn't seem like the 2016 w a 10k premium are selling and prices seem to be dropping
the cpo was an additional 3 k from the buyer which had nothing to do with me , which they claim was not marked up
They never gave me a solid trade number I decided to list it my self First then pass thru the dealer
Technically I sold the car to the dealer and then they sold it to the buyer I found at my pre negotiated sales price and add cpo on top
The dealer took 3k a as handling fee and this gives me 11k trade in tax savings
I netted 147 (sticker 155) and get to buy .2 at Msrp
So I think trade in would have been less bc the GM was framing the dialogue about how the new generation cars are coming and concerned about pricing
So buyer got great deal 2016 ($155k sticker ) w 4 k miles cpo'd for $153 k
I am sure I could of listed it for more, my car is scheduled to be delivered next month and wanted this one sold

Curious to know what anyone has actually been offered on their 16's, as the '18 start to roll in.

EDIT: Re-read the post and saw that they charged $3K for handling charge.
