Good pick up.

The websites states: The 911 model in question has not yet been announced by Porsche — thus PCA can't give any hints — but rest assured that the grand prize winner(s) will be among the first to own this special Porsche

In 2011, PCA raffled a fully restored 911T, I would expect there to be a promotional play on that little piece of history.

Grand prize at 8.5k tickets and one more every 4k tickets. Is the raffle payout always so stingy?

Posted elsewhere before I remembered this thread. Here it is:

Power is rated at 370 horses and 339 lb-ft of torque from the 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat six. The T gets a variety of nice tweaks from across the range, including Sport-Tex seats, a rear seat delete option, a new interior package, grey mirror covers, and the 20-inch wheels off the Carrera S.

I disagree that it is just marketing. It gets some tastey bits. Full buckets option, rear seat delete, mechanical diff lock, shorter final drive — none of which are available on a C2. RWS as an option. Sport PASM standard. Again, not possible on a C2. Also, it looks like it comes with sport chrono but without the clock (sort of like a GT3 has the sport chrono rev match without sport chrono) in that the mode select **** is standard and the press car has no wart.

Knock the 3.0 turbo fine, it’s not a GT3 engine or a real turbo 3.8, but keep in mind internally the base to GTS its the same engine. Once someone hacks the ECU (which I am sure someone will figure out), you can buy a Porsche powerkit for $6k (which includes new turbos) and get GTS power. Oh, and lest we all forget, 339ft/lbs is what both a GT3 and a base 911 have in torque.

Sounds like a (very) poor man's 911R.
