Any New Info on allocations from Porsche
So all of us on lists that are waiting to see if we get a chance to buy a GT3.
Does anybody here have any news
on what allocations will come through...or will it be what some others have said here on RL that whatever Porsche gave out is the
end.
I cant believe there is no one here that dont know true facts if Porsche will come through with enough cars.
Thanks

This has been discussed to death on so many other threads. No one knows outside of speculation. Unless you are a svp in Porsche corporate. You likely won't get updates until after the initial batches gets delivered.

But i just hate when i communicate with dealer and they say they don't know.
So i guess Porsche is very private until last minute when they release cars.

PAG released all their allocations up to November 2018. Used to be realeased quarterly, but now it's calander year. With that said a few allocations will "drip out". I would be concerned if you have not secured an allocation at this point in time.

Im third on list dealer says they are getting there first customer car in November.
But nothing else yet.

The real answer is that, no one actually knows what porsche is going to do and if "they have released all their allocations up till Nov 2018" is true or not.
Best and only thing to do is wait and see. Some dealers are claiming that round 3 of allocations will be out sometime in nov/dec 17.
I would still take whatever dealerships and what some rennlisters are saying with a grain of salt.

PCNA release the first round of allocation back in March/April '17 consist of production date from July 2017 through December 2017. Around 300-400 allocations.
The 2nd round of allocation was released last month with production date from January 2018 through November 2018. Production date after July 2018 are MY 2019 cars. Best guessmate was around 1200 allocations.
Doesn't look like there will be a 3rd round of allocations unless PAG increase the production or extent the production through 2019.

Even what you are saying is speculation by dealers (trying to drive up exclusivity of these cars to create demand)

I kind of feel they are doing this to keep
the demand up also ...there is no way
Porsche doesn't want to make $$$$$.
I guess time will tell.

People here have received there allocations through November 2018, mine is October 2018. It would be a cluster f**k if Porsche released another batch of cars for calendar year 2018. Dealers would need to call back customers (their best customers) and reschedule their build dates, ED, PEC delivery, everything , otherwise the guys further down the chain will all the sudden get allocations before the first handful of customers and cause chaos.
There might be a few allocations trickle in (in 2018) but that is manageable, but I doubt they send out another round of allocations for the same time period. 2019, who knows.

My dealer was given all their expected allocations through 12/18 in august and just got their GT2 for delivery almost 12 months from now. Porsche does seem to have a lot of different cars on their plate so who knows.

Riddle me this Batman, what reason would a dealer who sells at MSRP and has a waiting list as long as your arm have for spreading false speculation to 'create demand'?

It is absolutely not speculation by dealers. It is what dealers were told. Multiple dealers have confirmed this. It's not them interpreting anything. They were told that this was all they would be getting. Why certain dealers/SA's either didn't hear this or didn't communicate it to their customers is a mystery. Whether PAG is lying to the dealer group when they say this is everything is unknown. But it's not the dealers speculating.
