Great driving - RS driver clearly knows his way around the Ring. Jump to 6:40 if all you care about is the Vette's little moment.

Haha, the RS could take it pretty easy. The Corvette wasn't very smooth.
I had a 997RS spin 180, the exact same way there in front of me when I took my car to the Ring.
Didn't seem like a place to spin to me, but I guess it is.
Its typical; A fast car not wanting to let a faster guy by and spin or crash...
Fiats, Corvettes and CUPS come to mind..

for de-stabilizing cars (I know of one F360 that was destroyed there)...
if you dont come out of it straight the camber creates a mini-jump which can load up the outside left front wheel, and cause
the car to rotate/oversteer ...

funny to hear you trashing a driving video. was a day when that's about all we talked about on GT3 forum....
watch the video again. vette driver signaled RS to go by (3:05) and RS driver waved for him to keep going. i'd say they know each other based on the comments on the video posting.
same RS driver posting 7:13:
and his coach doing 7:06 - too bad about the video quality:

the exit of the schwalbenschwanz (mini karussell) is well known
for de-stabilizing cars (I know of one F360 that was destroyed there)...

its not just that ... if you dont exit it straight, when the car unloads or grabs air, it 'lands' outside wheel 1st, so regardless
of being on or off throttle you have a single pivot point about
which the car can and will rotate ... its a matter of speed and
skill at that point to recover the rotation ...
I rode along with a guy in an F360 a number of years ago, same
year I was coaching for the BMW Intl Driver's school there, and
noticed him make this mistake, but I was a passenger and not
a coach ... so I did not comment...
He dropped me at the car park and took off with his buddy in a matching F360, about 8 minutes later the P.A went off announcing a track closure and I had a sinking feeling...
20 mins later the flatbed showed up with what was left of his
G360 ... where did it happen? - right there ... spun and hit
the inner armco, then crossed the track and hit the other side
I still feel bad about that...
The Ring is *all* about little subtleties like that...
