Didn't they repave VIR in between this and last year's LL (or was that 2 years back)?

Evo's track battle proved the RS and Turbo S to be identical as well.

Not trying to be biased here (I'm actively searching for an RS to buy), but the Turbo S is a track capable supercar. It's a serious machine and it can beat the RS due to trick AWD and way more power.

The RS is also a serious machine that gets outgunned on some tracks the same way it does in GT racing.

There are probably some tracks where an Aventador or Ferrari F12 will beat a Huracan or 488. It doesn't mean anything except they're all extremely high performance vehicles.

Porsche ought to be applauded for building two very different cars with similar performance envelopes.

I think that secretly, some GT fans don't want to believe that a Turbo S owner gets to live with fewer compromises and have a car with equal track capability. It feels unfair.

But like you alluded to, it misses the point. The RS is WAY more thrilling.
