Default Speedster at Frankfurt?

Does anyone know if the Speedster was unveiled at Frankfurt?

I haven't been able to find any info.

Thanks

Hi Kobalt,

It seems this was for the Cayenne Turbo.

modern-era factory Speedsters have been the last or next to last sub-model released to bump media hype to help sell off outgoing gen as details of next gen is already ( too ) well -known to its fans

'89 G series
'94 964
'11 997.2

late '19 or early '20 991.2 ?

If based on the GT3 Touring ,I predict they will almost all be stored and never driven or seen except at gatherings due to their being the only GTx -motored / chassied factory convertible evey built w special body on top if that ) . OTOH , even if based on a GTS , this kid-glove treatment will be no diff than how prev modern Speedsters have been treated with perhaps a few more accum miles per yr vs one w 9000 rpm redline !
Can you imagine the sound of the GT3 motor at WOT while driving an open , cut down 911 on a narrow deep canyon road !?!?

There's a few more days yet of the actual Frankfurt show - hopefully, it'll be waiting in the wings!!

It's looking doubtful.

An earlier post from a week or so ago says the unveiling of the Speedster had been delayed until the December 2017 LA Auto Show.

On top of the styling, I can't wait to find out if it is NA, 6 speed manual or PDK, manual or auto top (unlikely) and if it is a numbered car like earlier Speedsters.
