My wife and I spent at least an hour at the dealer this weekend looking at the two GBM cars (718 and 911) on their lot in a variety of sunlight and shade. I love the color.

That's part of the reason I love it. It can go from almost an Aetna Blue, to a matte grey, to a metallic silver.

I'm not saying don't buy it if you like it; just that it's one of those colors you really have to see in person before you decide whether you like it or not. Photos and the configurator make it look 'bluer' than it really is in real life.

I thought it looked the best in shade and the worst in direct sunlight.

I just read this thread start to finish and my heart sank when you said you'd 180'd and gone GR!! Then I carried on and found you'd reversed again. I think GBM is awesome. I'm also a fan of stripes but personally I keep them to the frunk, roof and tail, not down the side of the car. It just makes it a bit to busy unless it's going to star at the track!
I've no idea how this would play out on GBM but on my SBM I put an under stripe in red to match the calipers and tail light and then the top stripe I got custom matched to the platinum wheels. So the red only showed about 1/8" on both sides of the platinum main stripe. Was wondering if you could go red underneath to match calipers and tail lights and then that R color over the top as the main color. Leave the sides and wheels clean? Just my 2c.
PS - if the interior comes out like its shown in the picture that'll be a bloody fantastic place to be. Congratulations!!

Nice find! This is going to be a long wait. I just dropped off my 991.1 C4S at the dealership as my trade in.

that is such a stunning car. no decals/stripes needed on that beauty. would take away from its elegance. Nice choice

I looked at your C4S pic yesterday the wheel does not have the silver stripe i was talking about i guess it was the "lighting"

When do you take delivery of the .2?

My estimated delivery is Dec/Jan. My build just locked on Monday so my SA said I could expect to get my full build schedule with a more specific delivery date in the next week or two. It's going to be rough taking delivery in winter here in Colorado.

This was the car at my local dealer that sold me on GBM. Seeing it was one of those rare occasions that you are in awe by just looking at a car.

I have seen it in person at the dealer in couple of cars: 718 and Carrera in the recent past.
It actually looks considerably more attractive than what you see in the images above (it's more blue). Good choice.
