24,000 Mile Service...

I ordered the spark plugs, 2 oil filters, and both cabin/frunk air filters for $228. In 2 hours I will have all of them done. Three if I am farting around, having a few drinks and chin wagging. It is really pretty easy to do all of the above.
Dealer wants $1,400 for the spark plugs alone, and $2,000 for the entire service. The brake fluid flush is $250, and they put the high temp stuff in. Looks like I will be doing all but maybe $500 of the service myself again. I just don't see the value in most of this. Of course they will do the balance of the service, checking this and that, and they will note that I did the rest. I keep all receipts.
With the extra $1,200 saved I think I will go buy that leather steering column, with the rest going into the tire fund. Of course, I am not expecting a .2 RS allocation anytime soon, either.

Almost at 20,000! Too many good excuses here to take it out. I am definitely not saving it for the next guy. I should have drove to Atlanta. I would have had my frunk signed!

That is not a bad amount of K's! Enjoy your vacation! And yes, I miss mine too when I am away on a trip. How many cars can do that a year or two in?

Also, Matt did some videos for most of this stuff. The spark plug video was good. He did a 12k service video, which covers most of this stuff.
Go for it! Super easy...and fun. Save money, too.

LOL @ dealer pricing on plugs. Oil changes, fine, it's messy and I hate doing it.
I just changed plugs on my 997 and coils for about $350 in parts and about 2 hours of wrenching. 991 is similar effort.
