Serious skill set on that 993 driver! Very cool head and hands when car gets a bit squirmy in close quarters. Thanks for sharing!

Yup

That's the cool thing about new Porsches, you can run similar times at 7/10ths the effort with much more safety, less fun in my book, but a lot more safety...

I run 2 well modded 993s and that pendulum feeling is always there, you can feel so much of the weight transfer and the rear torquing around and setting in on the motor mounts, then kicking the rear about... all it takes is one less than perfect correction, of the hundreds you make when going near the limit, and you eat it right then and there ... not so with 997, 991s, caymans etc... the advances in solidity, and stability are off the charts... it's so much better a consumer product for a broad audience... it's a better business proposition for Porsche... maybe not for my taste but overall a lot better product for many more to enjoy... mind you, anything can kill you, especially if you get a false sense of security based on all the safety features, end of day you can't cheat Physics and these cars weigh a lot more than they used to...

IMO the RS driver is the a$$, if it was not planned to play cat and mouse. I don't believe it was from the looks of it. The 993 tried a few times to go for an over take. (you can also see his videos w/ other cars i.e gt4 that really put a gap on him) I have driven the ring multiple times, that 993 driver has mad skill. 991 driver, as much driving skill as my mother(joke but not far from truth).

Agree

This 993 well known at the ring, not rigged... he's been doing it for years... driven the ring few times as well, some sections too bumpy, slippery, very tough to not get hurt eventually, statistically speaking, if you drive on the limit all the time... it's a statistical impossibility not to crash...
