Default 2018 GT3 deliveries - Delayed?

My delivery date recently changed from second week of Sept to November 17th! The system status shows the car is in "freeze" stage and currently in the body shop. BTW...it is NOT with the manual option.

Huge delay!!!

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

My allocation was thrown out of the system. I was supposed to take delivery in February. As of right now, I have lost my allocation...

Is it a US car? If so, there are many threads explaining the delay. Your car is in freeze status today because the factory is closed for summer vacation.

Yes. It is a US car. Typically, summer vacations in Europe are already planned. They had early dates in the system for the process steps beyond the body shop. All those dates got changed this week when my dealer checked. I wonder if something happened with certifications. Nobody can tell me what happened? Regardless, very disappointing!

That is exactly what I was told. My SA seems like an honest guy.
I plan on waiting 4 months or so and if I don't get another confirmed allocation, then I will request my deposit back.

push harder man don't be passive

its possible they sold you something they didn't have and for whatever reason they thought they would get an allocation but didn't actually get one. in this case, not much you can do but wait and hope something hits. but given the market, its unlikely that waiting will yield an allocation

if you're saying you had a confirmed allocation but now no longer have one, they probably pushed you back and sold your early allocation to someone paying ADM which is very shady and probably a decision the GM made, not your SA

if your dealer truly had an allocation with commission #, build status, tracking sheet, etc that they "sold" you in return for your deposit on the car, i'd do whatever i could to get to the bottom of it

Checked and verified. There are NO delays unless PTS or CXX issues.
Oh DBS* option will of course also delay ones order.

I heard about an Italian car (I think the very first delivered in June) which is back at the dealer from about one month for fuel picking up problems in the 90 lt tank.
Wonder if the delays I'm reading about have something to do with this issue and it's solution.

Yesterday my car was still a "November build" like it was last month.

Doubtful. They are still delivering European cars. The only cars delayed are NA cars.
