Tilting the seat doesn’t work great for me. Now my short wife loved it....so I am in a quandary on what to do. Probably going to keep stock angle.
Thank you

I can now just click the seat forward two notches for when on track.
This concerns me as I'm on the shorter side and worried I'll have pressure on the back of my legs.

Hello Everyone,

Gavin Riches, the owner of AutoQuest Motorsports, passed away peacefully on Saturday surrounded by family and listening to videos of him racing Porsches. Details on his celebration of life will be forthcoming, including a website/live feed and we'll be sure to post it up in the various AQ threads for those interested in being a part of it that cannot make it in person.

That all said, this was a long battle that has understandably affected the responsiveness of himself and the company to inquiries such as these on the forums and via phone/email. Gavin's wife Amy wants you all to know that his legacy will live on through the continued existence of AutoQuest Motorsports and their product line supporting the Porsche community. It will take a little time for Amy and the rest of the team to come full circle and get back on Rennlist. Until that time, I am happy to answer any product questions myself to the best of my ability. Gavin was my mentor during the time I worked for AutoQuest, and I know the product line quite well. Please feel free to call me at 4848836197 any time to discuss until an AQ team member is back with us on the forum.

Best regards,
John Gaydos

Thank-you for the message.
Condolences to those that were close to Gavin

Good to see that there is someone there to help Amy.

It's in moments like this that you realize how important it is to take advantage of all the time that we have. None of us are here forever.
It also reminds us that being a good person and being remembered as such is the ultimate legacy.

I am only 5'6" and my buckets feel perfect to me (I do prefer an upright seat), having not tracked mine yet I will toss on a helmet and check the seating dynamics therein. Thanks for this heads up and I agree sounds like a good solution, I just want to insure I need it before altering the tilt...but I am sure wifey would like a bit more tilt as she has mentioned that already. Again thanks for posting AQMS and Howdy Gavin.

Is it better for tall guys? (I'm 6.2")?

Because I think that you can't put the seat back as far as before when you have the Clubsport halfcage?

I am 6’3” with probably quite long legs. Had no problem with legroom with the seat adjusters installed. Yes you’re right the back is then closer to the cage but you should be ok.

Thanks a lot!

Is there a risk that the carbon back touch the cage? Are you set at the max of the rail?

I don't think you can go to the back of the rail with the cage installed anyway. You certainly can't if you add the seat adjusters. So if you're at the back of the rail already then I wouldn't do it because it does of course tip the seat backwards.

Hi All, reviving this thread to add my experience. I installed the autoquest brackets in my GT4 a couple weeks ago, and drove around with them for the last few weeks, and I just took the driver seat back to stock. In my view, the front of the seat was raised too much, and it was causing me to hit my knee on the steering column when using the clutch. I’m not that tall (5’ 9), so I have to sit closer to the steering wheel anyway. I didn’t mind the reclined seating position in terms of comfort, but I really did not feel like I should track the car in that position. I also installed it on the passenger seat, and I left it reclined for my passengers, because I think it will be more comfortable for them. Below are a few pictures trying to show the change in height and pitch with the seats in the exact same position. On a side note, if anyone is interested in the brackets i removed, shoot me a p.m. and make me an offer. thx
