Seems like between this and the lack of shiny carbon bling OP bought the wrong car.

I think AP said in an interview that those "shiny carbon bling" things adds 10 hp and 5 lb/ft of torque per bling bits.

Did fabspeed exhaust and tune from them. Very happy with it. John at Fabspeed was great to work with on the 3 RS and my Spyder.

The build on a 981 Spyder will be pushing 4.5L when finished this winter...

Here's a review from Matt at Obsessed Garage on our 991 GT3/RS Race Headers

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...s-exhaust.html
The 991 GT3/RS have cam/finger follower issues, this made us go after the fix for this with our forthcoming solid lifter upgrade before modding the engines. Anytime there is wear on a metal surface in an engine, you get that stuff everywhere, in the bearing surfaces, in the cylinder walls etc... Since we figured we could see some 991 GT3's and RS that need an engine rebuild outside of warranty from the cam/follower wear issues, we decided to build big bore pistons (as the cylinder walls would need to be cleaned up). After we started the pistons we also decided to do a crank as we were approached by a Spyder owner who wanted the full monty.

Seems we have a number of differing opinions in here about how an RS "should be" treated. Some bubble wrap them, no miles, the "RS Stock Options" hoping for constant appreciation. Some drive them to cars and coffee and back home for slightly less appreciation but low miles. Others track the crap out of them, trade in on the next newest model. And the last and minority in the crowd are the modders. There are many levels of modder and as the cars age, more is done to them. We see the 991 GT3 being highly modifiable if done correctly due to plunging values.

Now as far as poor drivability, and small gains for large dollars. Any company trying to sell that will quickly not exist anymore as the market would see to that... Luckily we're not in that camp.

To the OP, sorry this got derailed. Happy to discuss mild to wild options with you, what may and what may not void warranties etc... (exhausts less likely, ECU tunes more likely, engine mods definitely...)

Thanks Jamie
