It's really not a street legal race car - A/C blows lots of cold air radio nav large screen seats are comfy leather lots of rear storage heavy glass electric windows real door handles sound insulation carpets manual V10 one can easily remove the front and rear aero mine is installed have yet to scrape my 3RS and Speciale are far more serious builds yet the stock Viper K.O's the heavyweights 918 P1 etc.

I added the stage 2 and other stuff so add 20k - never thought of owning a Viper now will never sell it's a modern day Yenko!

Thanks for adding the video snakebit

Is that what you are referring to? If so it's still stock.

if it's not and you are implying they are cheating then please spill the beans sir lol. Tires? Computer tweaks?
No, that was my point. They actually played it straight and did nothing more than adjust some suspension bits like any owner can do. It's a stock car. Not a Ferrari ringer with a different tune and tires.

Or a Lambo with carved slicks.

And even with a vid like this, you get no true sense of the huge elevation changes and how damn fast the corners are (with no room for error).

Got you Burren. I totally agree.

It says a lot when industry folks like R&T and even BTG say they are impressed with what the Viper is doing. Those guys know the cheating that goes on in the industry so I'm sure that's why everyone seeing this effort firsthand are so taken aback by this transparent effort by Team Viper. Its a genuinely fast car that has no need to cheat to achieve the times its capable of. I wish other MFG would adopt this level of transparency but we all know when money is involved cheating is more the norm than truthfulness.

Grant G so true. It must be an incredible experience even for a seasoned racer like Farnbacher much less us mare mortals.

Theres one thing I noticed about his entire lap: it wasn't as smooth as the Performante. Regardless of whether you believe they cheated or not, the Perf's lap was as smooth a oil. He seemed to be all over the curbs nearly every corner. Heck, even the camaro seemed smoother.

Just means he left several seconds on the 'Ring.

Needs to go retrieve them when they return in August ...

Wow, that was some serious driving skills there. I noticed how on the big straight the car couldn't get up above 275-280kph...that's probably due to all the aero. I wonder how much that held the car back on getting a lower lap time.

That machine has serious aero. Top speed looks limited to 280 kph or about 174 mph. Love how on the final straight he is hitting the steering wheel with his right hand, like he wants; more, more more. Excellent driving and heck of a car. Great job to all involved. Congrats.

I agree - just think how much time it would save if the rear wing was adjustable while driving. Top speed would be 20mph faster or more...

Track was green 2nd attempt where the Ring Data instrument fell behind the clutch basically stopping the lap after two minutes was cleaner safe to say a low budget group from Texas has their work cut out for them 178 is about the top speed with factory wing settings without 205.

Go Fund Me will raise 50k - fingers crossed they get the weather to cooperate.

How much of that lap was driven with only one hand on the wheel? Haha.

If someone can pull it off.... it's certainly the well-experienced German hotrodder Dominik, who btw was an ex Porsche GT3 Cup and Supercup driver.
