Whats really sad is all those cars listed above have like no miles. What the hell? Drive those things people! My RS already has over 4000 miles and was delivered this winter! Come on, drive drive drive!

I feel really out of the loop. I was unaware this model existed before last night. I recall the 987.2 car but didn't know Porsche offered this model.
Nice car. Same running gear as a GT4?

I've always loved the 981 Spyder so started looking for one the past 2-3 weeks. Was completely shocked with some of the asking prices out there. Thanks to Porsche Jacksonville (Brumos to me) they found one for me, i believe a RL members car. 2000 miles, loaded and without doubt one of the best Porsche's I've owned.
Super sexy. Could easily wear an Italian badge. One of the few convertibles that looks just as great with the top up as down. No small feat.
MSRP of the average North American Spyder as optioned = $97,132 according to the Spyder database.

I don't think they will depreciate much, considering there were roughly 800-900 produced for the US market. The next generation will likely be equally as rare, a bit more money and not available for another 18-24 months. I think these will fare better than 991.1 GT3s; given the GT3's engine finger follower issues and lack of racing pedigree. Every other GT3 and the MK2 991/3 have heritage. I loved my GT3 but...

Some stealers are greedy trying to move above MSRP, but that's hard to gauge because who knows what they paid. I thunk the number is 800 Spyders in the US, and the resale is better than the GT4's. Congrats. It's a fun easy car to drive, and distinguished looks.

For sure, I was kidding on selling for less(: However, I never got concerned with value because I will not sale the car. I'm a big NA guy, and someday we will. It be able to get them so I will be keeeping the RS and Spyder. I never drunk the koolaid on being concerned with the 991.1 engines because Porsche has a lot at stake and has taken care of all failures. I sold my GT3 for 6k less than what I paid, and they car sold no problem.

I heard it was 800 too...
I sold mine for $7k below sticker and tires would be due soon. Hopefully, I'll get a .2 allocation. I have a few poles in the water. I agree that Porsche will make good but worried about consumer sentiment. It what it is. That said, I have my 2018 M2 arriving end of month so it's an exciting time! The initial plan was to DD the M2 and drive the Spyder until the MK2 GT3 arrived. I think I may be trading the M2 when that time comes.
