Steak was followed by cheesecake. I think, the best I’ve had. Ever.

Oh. Saw first Porsche 911 here today in basque land. A red 964 c2. Same as mine. Lol

Only 2 slices mooty. Unfortunately i don’t think it will travel well.

What kind of tartare?
Was in Shanghai 3 weeks ago and visiting wife's family and celebrating one of her uncle's 90th bday. Guess what this is?(originated from Japan I believe) Delish. Jamon in Spain is pretty awesome when I visited Barcelona- old fashion cut slices with a knife off la ramblas district ie La Bouqueria.

Can Majo by the beach. Indoor and outdoor seating. Street food cannot beat La Bouqueria San josep off la rambla. If u like shawarma check out "pita inn" self serve they plop whatever meat u want and u put the ingredients yourself off la rambla too. Love Barcelona!!!! Never had a bad meal newhere I dined. But Can Majo is definitely my go to place.

Also at can Majo ask if they have the special rock salt covered fish. Also for those Spanish challenged with paella they have lobster paella but it's just a species of lobster not as large as lobster if u order.

Barcelona, stick to Born and parts of Gothic neighboring it. La Rambla is a tourist trap, like NYC Times Square. La Boqueria market there is worth visiting.

Hard to get it wrong in any of the Born restaurants but these were my favorites both for food and atmosphere, with a great locals/tourist ratio though no idea how tourist-skewed this would be in the summer. In no particular order:
- Senyor Parellada
- Petra
- Casa Gispert (food shop)
- Lonja de Tapas
- Bormuth
- Super Super Tapas Bar
- La Gambeta
- Cafe Kafka
- La Paredeta Born
- Restaurants around and on top of the Museu d'Historia de Catalunya by the port/marina. (Great views and people watching).
- Zim (Hole in the wall in Gothic popular with locals. Just jamon, cheeses, and wine, cut and served by Zim, the owner, from behind the bar. He'll tell you what you should get.)

That's funny, last time wife and I were in Barcelona, we ate there two days in a row. Paella was that good. Would agree with this recommendation

I love paella, have a friend in Sac with a dedicated setup that makes it as good as Spain though.

My favorite area/neighborhood in Barcelona is Gracia and it is where I’d live if living there. A little more trendy and a lot less touristy.
So many great choices in the city. Las ramblas is very touristy. You have to walk it once. The market there is great, but there is another market in eixample that is really good to and a bit more local.

Just a great city to explore. Get off the beaten path!!!! And away from the masses of tourists. I love when restaurants don’t have an English menu. Spanish or Catalan only. Makes you explore!

We we just arrived in Madrid after stuffing ourselves in San Sebastián. This am was recovery day. What a great foodie town. Now off to eat some more. 4 days here then off to London for work. Wife staying in Madrid with friends.
