Default Wrecked GT3 RS - VIN WP0AF2A90GS187203

Figured I'd post this to ensure the VIN WP0AF2A90GS187203 can be referenced by any future buyers.

Damage looks relatively minor.

Worthy post. There should be a dedicated thread for crash damage VINs if the isn't already.

Hood wrecked, but it's amazing how elegantly these things break. Reminds me just how safe these cars are.

Why did the hood bend and not crack since it's carbon fiber?

Good question. For any crumple zones the CF has to be specially engineered to absorb a certain amount of energy. Since the hood isn't structurally significant, they alter the polymer ratio to be more flexible versus stiff/strong, to absorb energy in the event of a collision.

No...the damage is not minor (is there is such a thing as "minor" damage for a $225k car?)....
Read the entire thread.....its a $225k paperweight now!
Kind of ironic....that note on the windshield should have been there for the shop owner...lol!
