I was given a GP Hero3 and I haven't installed it yet. As of now I find the iphone with Harry's and the GoPoint Bluetooth thing to be easy and fun. I kind of want to add the Go Pro to the mix, but I kind of don't

Bronson, it takes an awful lot to get me upset, but this GoPro pushed my buttons.
1. Can't return it. Had it too long.
2. Can't fix it. Warranty expired.
3. Can't sell it. That would be unconscionable.
4. Can't use it. Too unreliable.
Putting it out of its misery seemed like the logical choice.

I don't want you guys to think this was some action i took in the heat of the moment. This was completely premeditated. I have had this camera since the week before I got my GT3 (bought it to use with the car), and it has let me down over and over for 13 months.
I take it out the week before my car arrives for a trial run. I wanted to make sure there were no issues, since i wanted to record my car being delivered. Everything was perfect.
Car arrives by truck. Park my SUV so the GoPro on the windshield is in perfect position to record everything. Start recording. While the driver is unloading the Hellcat I walk over to check to make sure the camera is recording. It was. On the video that was the last thing that it recorded. Lost the entire event (no pictures), and the battery was full, and the memory card had 90% free space.
This weekend I did some driving in Estes. Beautiful day. Amazing scenery. This thing recorded 15 seconds... then skipped 30 seconds...then recorded 15 seconds. Ruined the footage. My other GoPro that was recording **** itself after 40 minutes for some unknown reason as well, so this GoPro brand is total crap. I hear that the earlier models are better, but I won't spend anymore money on this garbage.
It was only a matter of time before I reached for the hammer.

I thought that was it as well, CJ, based on forum posts I had read. The current one was a Transcend Ultimate 633x I bought specifically based on recommendations from GoPro. But I also tried SanDisk Ultra Plus. The problems always seemed to be different. One time it just locked up. Another time the recordings were corrupt. This past week the video started skipping. Different SD cards.
The other GoPro seems to be a bit more reliable, but plenty of times the remote would **** itself. Or battery life would vanish one time, and go for hours the next.
My buddy has none of these issues. Unfortunately that doesn't help me.
