No one posted from the big dealer meeting 2 weeks ago. All my contacts said two main points. GT3 is 3.8 and stick. No one knew anything about a wing delete required for manual like some mentioned.
Now onto the RS. I guess the premiums might be worth it on RS.1. No RS.2 update only. It will be a hybrid on front axle is what was mentioned if they can get the cost factor/weight for the street. I asked about 4.2 and was told absolutely not.
Both dealers confirmed same info given. Maybe the premiums on RS.1 might be worthy if its the last NA RS.

Additionally, comments from him indicate that the RSR and the next generation GT3 (and RS if forthcoming?) will feature the "same" engine. Hard to say that with a straight face if the swept volume isn't the same.

a very wise long time porsche collector told

"don't ask for info on what the next rs or gt3 , it doesn't matter what the spec is, u will always want one
the only real questions are 1- can u afford one 2- can u get one, everything else is just noise"

Past history would dictate I'm not a troll. Maybe try search function.
No Rs.2 means it most likely isn't happening. If it does it will be a 300k hybrid on front axle send off for 991 as a techno preclude to 992.

Lots of other fairly credible guys saying otherwise. I guess time will tell.

Dr. Walliser Head of Porsche Motorsport @LA Autoshow
"(RSR)It's a new direct-injection, Gen. II, naturally aspirated four-liter engine.
Porsche also confirmed
this engine will make it into the
next GT3 and GT3 RS, as well."
dealers rumors to sell over MSRP the .1 RS or Walliser craziness?

I'll bet your dealer contacts that the GT3 will be a 4.0L...

If they take the GT3 to the next level makes sense they take the GT3RS to the next level by adding hybrid.
It's obvious Porsche is leaving money on the table with the GT3RS - adding hybrid and hp makes sense to further separate the GT3 from GT3RS also to compete with Mclaren and Ferrari's turbo hp engines.

Ferrari maxed out their F12M / Speciale V8 Lambo on their V12 seems like the NA engines are at max.
Even if they find 20hp on the GT3 is there more for the GT3RS - they have the tech why not use it to compete with the 488 and 675LT Porsche can't feel good about having the slowest one of the group.
