991 GT3 Steel Brakes low dust & no squeal brake pads
Hello Everyone,
I currently have gloss black HRE wheels on my GT3, the wheels and the tires would turn brown constantly from the brake dust. Now my wheels are being in a gold/ bronze shade, and will show the dust easier. I have been in contact with a few companies that produce brake pads. Earlier, they offered nothing for the GT3 but now it seems that they do, I wanted to know your opinion and which one to go with to reduce dust and squeal while still performing well on the track when needed. Below are what I got from communicating with the different suppliers.
*Option 1: EBC- Yellow Stuff
-Front pads - DP42206R
-Rear pads – DP42207R
-Notes: OEM to less brake dust, no squeal, fine to track but not every weekend. I asked them about their red stuff line since that is known to have the least brake dust.
*Option 2: Racing Brake
-Front: http://www.racingbrake.com/Brake-Pad...pd1773-391.htm
-Rear: http://www.racingbrake.com/Brake-Pad...pd1740-391.htm
-Review from a GTR owner on this XT910 Model: http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/.../#entry2895154
So far, am leaning more towards the Racing Brake option. Would like to know your opinions.
Thanks,
Bader

Have you considered Carbotech 1521 ceramic pads ?
I had them on my 2007 GT3 (std iron brakes), significant reduction in brake dust....on a scale of 1-10 ( 1= low, 10= max dust) I would rate them a 3, the PCCB's on my RS at a 2.
They are street pads, not track, but if you use the car as street only and want to reduce brake dust, they are a great option. I haven't checked to see if they are available for 991 GT3 but assume they are.

Compared to the OEM pads, PFC 11 according to several people who have run it apparently lasts longer, dusts less, and bites harder on track, all while making zero to almost-zero noise on the road. Ferodo DS1.11 seem to be better still on track in terms of bite and pedal feel, but they can be a bit noisier on the road. I have a set going on my GT4 today, so I'll find out first-hand soon. If the noise is too aggravating, I'll be switching to PFC 11, but I figured I'd try the more track-oriented pad first. But if you're looking for something specifically designed to be low-dust and quiet, you'll very likely be sacrificing some track performance relative to OEM -- unless of course you retrofit PCCB, which would seem to perfectly align with your stated goals.

Our success of street compound ET500 was recognized by EVO and CamaroSS communities since its release in some 10 years ago. XT910 was later added for spirited (mountain/canyon) driving.
RB brake pad is the top choice in Acura and Mercedes communities for people looking for a good balance of performance and price.
XT910 is also an excellent compound for street driving with cars come with carbon ceramic rotors that was testified by Aston Martin owners who was about to quite their CCM rotors until they found our XT910.

I am currently using Ferrodo DS2500 pads on my car. Car came with PCCB and switched to Giro Disc. The dust isn't bad at all with GD/DS2500 combo

Thanks for the input guys, I was recommended to use a spray to keep the dust off the wheels, tires, calipers, as well as the rear fenders. Will give it a shot before playing with the pads.
