Default Paint falling off the GT3

Here's how my car looks after washing.

Anybody else having the same issue? PAG responded with "It's normal".

Well, Porsche is sure. They refused to fix this under warranty when dealer sent them pictures. They are saying this specific area is where stones are naturally chipping paint.

WHAT??? Unless you took it rock crawling, I would not consider it normal, even on a cheap rental car. Never seen anything like that.

Unless you went sideways thru a gravel trap on track I can't see how that's 'normal' wear and tear.

No, I did not rock crawl or gravel drift in this car. It was never abused any special way.

How is that happening with the coating they put over the paint on the rockers (the rough finish portion above the plastic trim)? I took stones there and it impacted that coating in the same way a clear bra gets hit.

Those aren't paint "chips", that's flaking off in big chunks, no way that is normal.

Edit: Where did the factory rear fender film go? Doesn't look like it is there from your picture.

That looks like that a very well used GT3! That said, that's not normal wear and tear. The fact that the paint is coming off just the gravel guard portion tells me somethings up. Hopefuly you are not using any chems or super high pressure at that spot. Ask for it to be seen by a Porsche rep..

Check your neighbors ice pick for black paint smudges...

Couldn't have put it better. Loosing faith in Porsche, thats clearly a paint issue not damage from rock chips.

It's replaced with bigger protection film, that begins above the damaged area. This unprotected area has a different structure of paint, a rough one.

Car is being hold in the closed garage, so I'm pretty sure it's not a vandalism.

That unprotected area for me felt like it had a coating you could peel off and looks different from your car. It was on my GT3 but don't have it any longer otherwise I would send you a pic.

Even in the area above it where you have the bigger film, it looks like the paint is chipping, not like impacts to a clear film. Maybe just the picture.
