I looked at the Bendpak before deciding on 2 single-post lifts. No regrets. And if you have young kids, it's safer not to have a bunch of posts for them to run into. Or give the wife an(other) excuse to yell at you about car stuff

That looks so much cleaner without the extra posts! What’s your ceiling height?

Probably a stupid question - but how do your garage doors operate? I want to add a lift to my house but I can't figure out how to buy back the clearance that my door is stealing from me.

You need to get a high-lift kit so the doors lift up and over. No need to change the garage doors themselves.

For the single post guys, is basic maintenance doable? Can the car be lifted off the tires while on the lift? The single post makes by far the most sense for my smallish garage, but I've resisted due to perceived uselessness when it comes to maintenance.

I've not performed any maintenance with the cars on the lift as the weather has been too cold since they've been installed. For wheels-off maintenance, I found this bridge which straddles the runways:

Would be interested to get feedback if anyone has one/similar device.

i have something similar for my 4 post lift. They work great but a little inconvenient as you need to add extender arms to get at most car jack points. Other than that, you need air supply as manual version to lift car would be a nightmare to try and do under the car. Has been useful when needed. Will be using mine to do brake fluid change so I can remove wheels when on the lift.

Do you have one or two (for each axel)? Can you get away with only having one?

I did not need to get a port o john to have my high lifts installed. What part of the country are you in? What were the terms?
