The Spin doctors at Porsche will have to come up with a good explanation for that if that happens.

Frankly, they are running out of different 911 to invent.

Porsche BOSS: "lets make the new GT3 a 4.0 and a manual so that people will buy another billion dollars of cars again."

Porsche Assistance Boss: " But boss, isnt that a 911R without a wing?"

Porsche BOSS: "umm, OK, forget the 4.0. Put back the 3.8 and put bigger wings and tires on it. That would make it different. That was close, good catch. We have a winner guys. Good job!"

This is so good, because it sounds like it's within sniffing distance of reality

My sources say the redline will be moved up to 9400rpm.

Sorry, but you're the only person who thinks this way.

Every source I have including European dealers, say 4.0L for the 991.2 GT3.

I believe them.

He'll be at LM and hopefully has the chance to corner Walliser!

Just sharing what I was told. I think RS is turbo b/c of the new RSR. I'll try and get some info at Lemans as I'll be in Porsche hospitality and have grid/hot passes for the weekend. Also gotta keep on the RS allocation hunt.

i like smaller free revving engines. Anyone else concerned about the consequences of higher displacement motors? Mostly lower redlines and less free revving abilities? I know the RS is a 4.0, but if I'm not mistaken I felt the 3.8 be more 'revvy.'
