I stopped posting about this because (a) no one seemed actually interested and (b) all of the R hate. Should you like an update, please call me at 212-628-6778.

Please continue posting! I can guarantee there is a huge group of people out there that really appreciate your comments and insight, they're just not as vocal as a few of the haters. Also, many people will stumble onto this thread years later, and also appreciate what you share. We are lucky to have members like you on the forum, and that's exactly part of the magic of this place. People with many different car experiences, all sharing and building this Porsche community. Ignore the hate, it's really only a few keyboard warriors, the rest of us are very interested.

Please continue to update, and more importantly please post photos of your work, even if you found them bad, a good thing always trumps thru any photography quality.

Quick question: are the lightweight hoses safe? I never could figure out hoses resistances and flexibility and how to upgrade these. If you could explain what you looked for when choosing these new hoses and what made you choose them and actually try to upgrade them, I would very grateful.

I most likely never will have a 911r but still enjoy this thread. Please continue.

Me personally I have benefited in Mr. Linton's insights and his creation of parts and pieces for weight reduction. I truly wish he would continue to post and share his knowledge in this forum. He has shared some pictures of his creativity and amazed by his imagination, experience, and knowledge how to lighten and make better parts and pieces for his Porsches.

Drive safe,

+1. I've been looking forward to developments and updates. I don't have an R, but I'm exploring weight reduction options for my touring (aside from wheels, battery, and exhaust).

Another vote to continue. I find it fascinating even if I am not an R owner or prospective customer. "Adding lightness" is the biggest need and opportunity for the industry we love. Even if you only post a progress digest every so often I think it would be greatly appreciated.

Ignore the haters. Like, literally--just block/ignore them using the board feature. Life is so much better that way. All those who are viewing this thread enjoy it.

I’ve only just found this thread and look forward to tracking through the posts. Your clearly very knowledgeable and doing something much more interesting than buying a Singer, I was interested to see how the prices might compare. I’ll never be able to afford an R or heavily modify it. I always tweak cars to personalise them, accepting any changes I make are for my benefit and often devalue or add very little.

Id love to find and rebuild my old C2RS, It lost weight, a bit... I coveted the aluminium doors available at the time at silly money but never bought them and had some one off carbon throttle bodies made, played with Motec and had a fantastic time. A car offers a journey in many ways, do please continue to share yours with us

I don’t have an R but it’s very interesting.
Hopefully you will continue to share the cool stuff.
