Here it is, I think there are 15 (maybe 18) total fixtures for 2800 sq ft of floor. On full bright, it’s plenty bright.

I focused more fixtures above wash bay, and with white curtain closed around wash bay it’s VERY bright.

I’m very happy with how unobtrusive the fixtures are as well.

Good luck!!!

I have 1700 sq.ft. and similar heights (12' to 15').

I have 21, 4' led fixtures. I was a bit worried that the light would be too "white" (I like natural light), but so far so good. The garage is not all done yet, but I've worked in it enough to like it.

What you need to think about is the switching and circuits. I have 4-way switches for the basic lighting, and one switch for each bay; third pic shows basic. I also have two separate fixtures, and switch, for a work bench alcove on the far side.

Other "stuff":

- 2 natural gas radiant heaters (small one was moved from previous smaller garage)
- Blue wires sticking out of walls are for cameras
- Couple of fans to move air around
- Rough-in for TV (two spots cause I wasn't sure which to choose)
- And very importantly, wifi access point (can bee seen in second pic)

Trailer is inside because we are doing final grading Monday.

Default ...lighting...

SJJ28 & FFaust...thank you!

Dimmable LED's - check. What brand if I may ask?
(We have a lighting expert helping my wife on house lighting, but she is not an industrial expert). I can specify whatever I want once I do some leg work on the lighting.

WiFi - check
Security- check
Heater- check (Modine)
Floor - concrete / grind and polished

Nailed it on thoughtful circuits /switching, as well as ceiling fans! Fans make a HUGE difference both summer and winter! You can kinda see mine in picture, but they’re black and so is ceiling. Lights were hung about 1-1/2 ft below top ceiling height, so anything above them virtually disappears

Something else that I did was install 2 ceiling rough ins for 240 for the lifts. I also put 3 wall-mounted ones for eventual welder, compressor, RV 50 amp, electric charger, or whatever else might be needed down the road.

Oh, and an outlet for my 'fancy' Snap-On promo clock, lol. You really have to think as far ahead as possible.

Slightly deeper concrete pads for 2-post lift. Just before the pour, dig an extra few inches where you think a lift might go in the future.

How about a garage video? (It's home-made, like the garage.)

Jack, over the years your garage has always been my favorite as well as the 1972S. Nice work.I have 72S as well, just stock and being restored.

So many amazing garages in this thread! We downsized from a single family home with a 4 car garage to a mid-rise condo this past year. My biggest issue was giving up space to work on my car, but we managed to find a condo in Atlanta that has dedicated garages. I tried to make the best of the configuration thanks to all I've learned on Rennlist. Here is the final result of my 3 car condo garage project. Limited ceiling height prevented me from doing a lift and we don't have AC installed yet so I need lots of fans going when it gets hot. But short of renting a garage off-site, it is about as good as it gets for a condo.
