Great eye candy lessthan3mph.

It's nice to see the white stripes on the LO R. These deliveries are keeping things exciting for sure.

Ya, I love what people are doing with their R's. Bartron, did you finalize your spec?

Thing is...that R is not white...is more a creamy colour! I've seen it at the factory and it does look...weird!!

It was also the first R with a glossy black painted engine grill surrounding.

Loads of CXX on that car, none that I liked tho!

EDIT: If it's definitely white (it does look white from those pics but on a screen you can't really tell) there is another US car with a creamy white and red bonnet!

You are right. I can confirm this is the first true PTS R for North America. Loess has 1 logged for the US, and I have obtained the window sticker for this that shows Exterior Paint to Sample Non-Metallic. My best guess is PTS Light Ivory, to match the original 1967 R. Also has $47k in CXX options which is just unreal!

Interesting updates! Thanks for clarifying that it isn't white, maxt. I didn't realize Light ivory was now approved--wasn't on the last list I saw (now outdated). That is such a great historic colour for the R, wysl94, and I really hope that's it. Can you post the window sticker please? It would be interesting to see more detail on the car.

According to my hummingbird source, at least two light ivory PTS Rs were approved for US, one being Seinfeld the other one also to a longtime SoCal Porsche aficionado

Not yet. still deciding on stripe colors. Have to decide by tomorrow.
It's proved to be exceedingly difficult to obtain actual color samples to compare against a real LO painted panel. I'll PM you with more.

I believe it is personal preference and each owner should build what they love and desire. Maybe this particular one with high options is the last Porsche that person will ever own and he/she wanted to go out big, who knows.

Everyone has their own idea of style and needs, I didn't buy mine because I wanted the lightest 911 currently made. For me it was the combination of biggest motor, manual transmission and clean silhouette. Many here have chosen to build without an A/C for weight savings... Sweating my nuts off to save a few kilo isn't the right car for me but again to each their own and I won't judge on individuality.... but I do congratulate all for getting this amazing car!!!

No no. The brown/black interior is a regular option to the black/black interior. The brown in real life is darker than in the configurator.

More R and R pictures from the Road Scholars event.

BTW, after getting a clear bra, it will be driven!!
(Just like the 959 that tool park in our morning back country group drive. I spent the whole morning chasing it!)

Trying to contain the 959!

Thanks for those photos. I really like what they've done with this R!! Are the two R's owned by the same person, anyone know? And I'm so glad light ivory sounds like it got approved--perfect for this car!
