Please email me with September 19 in subject line.
We should have it all sorted in the next week or so but I’ll save you a spot.

Renting makes it easy: find hotel, get airline ticket, book Avis rental car at airport go to Nürburg. Check in, check out track toy- drive.
On that note, I will leave an extra suggestion, a ringtool might not be a bad idea price wise, it can work like a learner car and someone far away, lets say US that doesn't want to ship out their gt3 rs to europe everytime they get the itch to go to the ring, why not get a fully TUV approved caged megane rs/ leon cupra / m3 / z06 / 996 turbo and have it stored there?? Plenty OF GREAT DEALS on ringtools in impeccable shape for sale, the range will be around 15k to 60k at the far end.
The hothatches to me are just perfect, cheap to buy, run, maintain, plenty fast, fun, perfect for touristfarthen, light, safe, if you put it thru a wall it won't kill you neither will set back you that much, will cost as much to get as 20 laps on a lesser rental car.

Just some food for thought.

Great suggestion. How much would long term storage cost around the Ring? Any Ring shops that cater to this type of clientele by providing a maintenance + storage package?

Good idea but just like timeshares we will all want to use it in the summer, before and after LM, N24, Goodwood etc. But could still work with not too many sharing each car, and so long as your mates don't bin it before you get there.

^^ Yes, the shop I used for all ED service is 15 minutes from the Ring, full service and very reasonable.
The store the cars inside, have room for tow vehicles and trailers (and they have a couple they will rent you), they even have loaner cars you can rent. As well as track cars, Mini’s and BMW’s.
He has a bunch of GT3 and RS customers that store their car there.
Horst is the owner, very good at setup and they work with a certified Porsche mechanic. They are no Manthey but when they have warranty stuff that’s where the cars go. For ED purpose, they are better suited then Manthey IMO.

My idea is either buy a few track ready BMW e36 or ship our cars over or just rent one from Boes.
TBD.

A lot say for the hassle free, no maintenance obligations of a track prepped rental. I am keen for NRing and Spa next summer. Just need to get my mind around what car to rent. It won't be a gt3 I think. Definitely wont ship my car.

Honestly I had a blast in a track-prepped Renault Trophy RS - first time and it was more than enough car for me...especially for a Tourist day

Megane or Clio Trophy?
I am thinking Megane would be good. Although last time I had 2 days (closed to public) instruction in M4 and enjoyed that
