If I could figure it out and make it work...I’d do it. I’m looking/thinking/needing a career change.

I was running out of day, so I cruised through the pit and cooled down the car a bit for the out lap and followed it up with my personal best; 1.453 with the tires cooked. So fresh tires and you should be able to run a 1.43-44 for sure. I think the faster CUP cars did 1.37.

Let me guess. He saw your front plate, NOT french, and decided you were not worthy.

Guy was a (soft) d*ck and should have let you pass but it looks like he was playing a “race” with you. Hard to pass him when he ran away like that onto every straight even if he was 3sec slower. I’d have kept some distance before the turn, then trailbrake and close in by carrying more speed in the turn to be on his a*s and faster at track out for a clean pass on the straight.

^^ I tried that, but he slowed up so much before the two corners onto the long straights that he caught me off guard and I kept making mistakes there.
i would have figured it out but there were only 3 laps left in the day..

He has race craft. Too bad I wasn’t racing or had practiced race lines.
I was in Quali mode ;-)

Makes sense. It would have taken a few laps to calibrate the right distance to keep so he doesn't kill your momentum in every turn. Keep living the dream and keep posting!

Great weather but too much traffic to gauge how I’m doing till I look at data.
Ran the car out of pads again. Spa is a brake killer.

Luckily there is a Dutch Porsche dealer (Porsche Twente) on site that also forgot to bring pads for customers so they sent someone to BOES (1:45 mins each way). To go pickup my pads LOL.

So we should all have new pads tonight

You cooked the RE10s? Was the other track a pad killer too? How so quick Pete?

I did 2 full days all together at Val de Vienne and one day spa.
Both very hard on brakes.

So I put new ones one and leftovers I’ll be using up at the Ring.
Traded a set of Pagid RSL1 for Porsche hospitality and labor

^^ I'm tempted Mike, but I only mostly have Ring days left and that's not that hard on brakes.
We shall see what Mrs Trakcar says about coming along in June and if so then there will be fewer track days and more sight seeing.
If she bails then perhaps I stick them in my carry on

I really didn't see a GT3 as a momentum car!
