I chose the Carrera T Sport-Tex material to spruce up my RS’s Alcantara seat inserts...a slight premium in cost, but the end results were worth it (for me). Fit and finished were perfect...the attention to detail is clear. The YouTube video he sent made it very easy to complete the installation...
Thanks Garry!!!!

Original Alcantara

Wow that is two of us in Charlotte area with Sport tex inserts! I got mine through the other supplier that comes with foam. Would be great to see how the cushions compare.

Actually, I hang my hat on the NC Coast, Emerald Isle. However, if you ever find yourself out this way, drop me a line...
So far, all of my friends agree that replacing the OEM seat inserts allows the other areas covered in Alcantara to standout... I’m very happy with the overall ascetics. JB

Well, it is my thread, after all, or at least I started it over 4 years ago, so it wouldn't be polite or civil for me to flame a newbie for an oversight. I have always used my real name on Rennlist, anyway, from the time it was a mailing list called "Porschephiles," to remind myself that being rude to people in cyberspace is not what I would want to do in meatspace, talking to them face-to-face. It's too easy to be a keyboard hero behind an alias, IMHO.

YMMV,
TT

They are not The pass side has a cut out for the air bag sensor that resides under that seat cushion.
I guess if you are handy you could carefully cut out the foam
good luck

One of the few mods I’ve been aching for quite some time. I don’t have a new Spyder allocation but I am in the mid single digits for one.

Nonetheless I absolutely wanted to ensure I’d get the 911 R sport bucket seat covers while they’re still available.

Many thanks TT for letting us know about these.

Mine fitted to my touring with folding buckets, thanks to Garry@ classicfx.net for making them in OEM black silver material.

Perfect transformation

Such a dramatic transformation. My buddy wants to try mine on his new GT3. Almost don’t want to for feer of not getting them back.

‘yup. My friend lent me his houndstooth inserts from Garry. It’s a total transformation. I plan on buying the Carrera T fabric inserts as well. Just need to see them live.
