Ruby Red, what an elegant shade of red!

Pictures from today at Paul Miller.

I see Ruby Red Metallic on approved PTS list. No Ruby Red though.

It’s weird because Auratium Green which is also a 356 color available on PTS is listed as metallic too. I am not sure what is up. No one had a sample to see if it is really metallic or just a very fine metallic. Anyway, someone should order Auratium. I was so close to ordering it when my color was not approved, but I did not want a heavy metallic and there was no way to know.

Default Signal Yellow interior

As I have yet to see a GT3 in Signal Yellow (SY) that didn’t have black/grey interior, does anyone know if the racing yellow belts or racing yellow stitching specifically would work with SY paint? SY has more of an orange hue to it and it may not match up with the standard yellow stitching. I asked my SA today if SY was an option for stitching and I’m waiting to hear back. Anyone have any input or experience here? I love SY but not a fan of the grey or plain black interior.

I adore my PTS/LTS Amethyst over Magenta 1997 993TT TechArt. The color undergoes remarkable changes in a single day depending on how the sunlight hits it. Lots of depth. Tons of character.

I like what you did mooty and get “deviated” stitching in black with signal yellow exterior paint.

Spending my Saturday evening pondering pts colors for future vehicles, and there’s nothing sad about that ...

Anyone know if there’s a name Porsche uses that is the identical paint to Audi’s Suzuka Grey?
Or is that a color exclusive to Audi?

Thanks.

Can someone help me to understand the difference between Acid Green, Birch Green (253) and Linden Green (226)?
The pictures and videos are start to get more confusing that helpful. Specially between Acid and Birch.

I saw a story about a book that seems like it'd be a great gift for any PTS afficianado.

First published in the pre-photographic age, Werner’s Nomenclature of Colours was the preeminent guide to color and its classification for artists, scientists, naturalists, and anthropologists in the 19th-century. Without an image for reference, the book provided immense handwritten detail describing where each specific shade could be found on an animal, plant, or mineral. Prussian Blue for instance could be located in the beauty spot of a mallard’s wing, on the stamina of a bluish-purple anemone, or in a piece of blue copper ore.

Along the same lines (but a century later) is Ridgway’s Color Standards and Color Nomenclature, I have an original copy. You can browse the plates on Columbia’s website if you're curious: http://www.columbia.edu/cu/lweb/digital/collections/cul/texts/ldpd_8627102_000/pages/ldpd_8627102_000_00000059.html?toggle=image&menu=maximize&top=&left=
