2015 GT3

When I looked on the GA website it looked like the ad valorem tax on a 2014 GT3 would be around 1,400. This tax is not like a sales tax and it looked like it used an assessed value from the state.
I find it hard to believe they would charge you the sales tax again given you already paid it in FL. As valorem tax is akin to a property tax, not a sales tax. For 1,400 I would be keeping the car.

Spoke to a BMW dealer Finance mgr and he confirmed that when you bring a car into state and register it- you will owe 7% on the market value of the car whether it is owned or leased. Imagine I have a BMW M3 with 18 months left on a lease and I have to pay $4k.
