I haven't got the CS version. Also because I wanted to have some room in the back. Please consider that I don't live that close to a track and not in a country where trackdays are optional more than 6 months per year.
I use my car as a daily driver and am happy to take it for 2 times per year to a track.
Sometimes I do regret not getting the buckets, but the new version buckets weren't available back then (car arrived in 2013) The old ones didn't really fit my body type. The new ones I would like to have but since I'm not on a track every month/week that is not worth reinstalling.
Happy to fit a big Samsonite in the trunk when I go away for a weekend though
I would decide based on how I would use my car. DD or track car. If it would be my decision and if it would be a track toy only I wouldn't opt for a GT3, I would go GT3RS in full track mode .
Go clubsport. Remove cage and store it. It will pay you back when you come time to sell in 3-4 years time etc...

Are the red stripes sewn in red alcantara or is it fully stitched?
how about the gt3 logo? Printed or stitched? Hard to tell from internet picture unfortunately.
I currently drive a 2014 4S and am seriously considering trading it for a GT3. However almost all the GT3s that are available in Europe right now are equipped with the Clubsport package which I don't really want because the roll cage takes away a lot of the convenience factor for me e.g. occasional weekends away, room for the dog in the back, etc. So it would primarily just be my weekend car and only tracked once a year for fun.
A dealer nearby currently has two on the floor (both sold). One with Clubsport and one without. The sales rep said "it takes forever to sell a GT3 without the Clubsport package but GT3's with the package sell in a flash"
So my question is mainly targeted to the European community but am also interested in any comments from the USA fraternity, in your experience, is the sales rep right? Is the Clubsport package perceived as a must have in Europe and does it affect the ability to sell the car if you don't have it?
A gt3 without clubsport always takes a wash.
if it was me, I would get a clubsport and try to live with it (a Bull Terrier can go on the back and sleep amongst the scaffolding just fine), luggage can fit as well, biggest impediment are the fixed back seats, not the cage.
and if you find that you can't use it or want to have it, it just bolts off, there is a way to take it without removing the rear window, regardless it's not hard€€.
If you could care less about residuals and actually want a smaller price get one without and enjoy it regardless.

I'm not from the US, but one of the reasons why GT models sells itself is very heavily reliant on the ClubSport package. The distinct roll cage sends a message and tells everyone, this is a track car from factory, you got that from your car?
Who would want their GT looking like a normal plain vanilla 911? 99% of owners vote with their wallet that the ClubSport package is a must have.
I did exactly as you had in mind. I bought a comfort version but still wanted to track it. And that I do quite often. The cage also saves about 40lbs. But I also use it as a daily driver. Within one hour I rebuild it for track use. I fit new wheels with semi slicks, a real FIA bucket seat that is made to fit me (and not the CS versions for 300lbs Germans), set camber and toe front and back for the track I visit in a very simple, exact and easy way, Then when I get home I build it back and go with wife and our dog having lots of space comfortable on long car vacations. www.bergmann-racing.com Good days in Germany
