Why connect to battery/through the frunk when you can just plug-in to the cig lighter ??

Pretty sure it comes with M6. I had to snip mine to a "C". In order to fit. Still works fine.

Thanks Mike. Ended up not going due to all the crowds. Went on a hike with the wife for a couple hours, then relaxed with beer and wine. Great day all around. Looks like it may get warm enough to take the GT3 out for a spin and wash!

The bolts you'll want to attach to have 10mm nuts. When I bought my extension cable I didn't realize there were different size eyelets available. Like doubleurx, my eyelets were too small so I ended up clipping the ends to turn them into spade connectors.

I keep my cover in the frunk so I'm in and out of there whenever I use the car. Since I'm already there anyway, plugging up the connector in the frunk to my charger mounted on the wall nearby is a snap. It's further and less convenient getting inside the passenger compartment to the cig lighter. I'd need an even longer cord or have to drag the charger around. YMMV.

You're welcome, Christian. Do you know what the M6, M8, and M10 refer to? If 10mm is the overall size of the eyelet you're probably ok but if the opening in the eyelet is 10mm it might almost be too big.

Don't know if it helps but according to their website:

M6 - Eyelet: M6 (6,4 mm)
M8 - Eyelet: M8 (8,4 mm)
M10 - Eyelet: M10 (10,4 mm)

so you think the M8 size would be the best fit if M10 is too big ?

So is that overall size, or the hole in the eyelet, or does it say?

Not knowing what the sizing measurements above refer to, I don't know how to answer that question. No matter what size you get you can probably adapt by clipping the eyelet or using a washer.

FYi, just picked up my GT3 or should say I saw it. The dealer is storing my car for the winter. Went and saw it and dealer put the battery tender on and did it via the cigarette lighter.

Decided to try the Deltran Battery Tender Jr I already have for my big lawnmower battery ($30). Used it for years.

1st time on the 991 took overnight for the red light (charge) to go green (maintain) using a
$5 cig lighter adapter in lieu of the battery clamps. Now instead of 14.8 V when I
start the car from cold, it reads 12.4 in the dashboard gauge. To get to full charge now (green light) takes about 1/2 hour.

Works great & I bought another ($30) to put back on my mower.

Question:

Does the cig-lighter work when the key is removed?
