GT3 factory rollcage

GT3 factory rollcage
Thought I'd start a separate topic showing the factory roll cage installed for ease of searching so it doesn't get lost in my other thread.
Front cage is in. Porsche Motorsport in Germany confirmed that the front cage can't be installed without removing the rooflining. Looked into fitting a custom roof lining but decided against it, too much time and cost for just aesthetic value, I like the cup car look of the bare roof.
Next track outing in a couple of weeks to see if it stiffens up the chassis. Also added the passenger harness and got my dealer to swap out the standard black seat belts for the red belts (for when the harnesses aren't being used).
I have the FIA approved roll cage padding going in later this week.
If anyone wants any specific pictures of the factory cage setup or the 6 point harness attachment points let me know and I'll post them up.

During resale this car clearly will be marked "never tracked"

Super cool. thanks for sharing.
Does the the front cage touch the a-pillar trim? I noticed you kept the a-pillar trim.
My 997 clubsport has eaten up two a-pillar trims to date from rubbing.

I think the cage just touches the top of the A Pillar trim. I'm thinking about putting some felt between the two to stop the rubbing. Will have a closer look at it.

That's a great look. Suits your car perfectly. You've done some really cool mods using factory parts! I wonder if you can put on a cup wing (and would this improve or unbalance the aero?).

If you put a "cup" wing on the back you will have to balance with offsetting downforce on the front. It may also require different suspension settings to compensate for increased downforce loads front and back.

Looks great. I'm assuming this is a track-only car now, since conventional wisdom has it that driving a car with a full cage (front section) on the street with no helmet is actually quite dangerous.
