Paint to sample
I think this may have been already asked..but...is the paint to sample window closed. My primary dealer says yes- but I got a call from another dealer stating I can do it- December build.

I have a dec pts slot. Seeing as they need about 3 months advance notice, I think it would be an exceedingly small chance that you could squeeze one in if you are ordering now. But if that dealer can do it, that would be a rare opportunity. By most others' accounts however it seems as if no more pts slots are being offered. Good luck but keep your hopes down.

No more PTS. I bet all GT3 production will also end in Dec too. Seems to me, Porsche is no longer listening to their long time customer requirements.

I know VIP slots are being denied PTS now, so would be very surprised if you could.
Perhaps if the build/paint color already approved you could, but I think the slot would have to be V250 - i.e. you can't change it.

PTS is open for other Porsche models, just not the GT3. Dealers understandably assume that if PTS is available for a C4S it must be available for a GT3. The next PTS paint run is in Feb 2015. We have reliable information from more than one source that production of the GT3 ends in 12/14. As stated, if you can get a PTS GT3 its color has already been determined and production is set.

My dealer just called me. He was trying to get me a November allocation for PTS. The factory said that all the PTS spots are full even if he had a November allocation and that they could do PTS for February production.
Reading this, it sounds like if I give up my GT3 allocation in December, I may not end up getting the car and could get screwed just b/c I want a color...

nlpamg - who are you working with for your order?

Crap, maybe I should just suck it up and get white and a Dec. build and be done with it. I'm dealing with Rusnak.

Now you're talking sense. After reading how fickle the PTS allocations are and how it can actually make you lose your spot... Stops making sense IMO

I'm Simon's friend. Not sure if you remember me from NAGTROC. haha. Small car world. I work at Rusnak Porsche. They're actually talking about your order now.

my ears are burning! I bet they're saying "yeah, he keeps adding more ****!" lol

they may be talking about your order, but I can tell you there will be no PTS on the GT3 through the end of the year, for sure... February production PTS? Maybe, but I really strongly doubt it... there are many on this board with "connections" who have had these conversations with several Porsche Premier dealerships and/to include PCNA execs ...
having said all that, I hope you get one, and to any dealer reading, if you can get me one, please PM and I am all in for a reasonable premium above MSRP
