Default Cost to insure a GT3

What kind of numbers should I anticipate, with a ticket free license, for insurance on the car? I believe I paid around $2K for my '08.

$1500 / yr 100/250/500 $500 deductible. Allstate. Only $180/yr more than my 911S.

Ha! You should move to Ny! For a new GT3 I bet you at least 2500$/Yr with 1000$ deductible and lowest coverage.

Their is not much relevance here. Age, location, driving record, marital status, credit score, how many cars you have, is it your first sports car, limits, etc. etc.

Exactly. Best thing to do is shop around. I had state farm for a long time and thought their rates were good. I called Allstate on a whim and they were literally half the price.

Agree. My long time insurer (Mercury), who had always been reasonable with other Porsches wanted more than $3K to insure the GT3 for a year. A little shopping around got me a rate significantly less than 1/2 that. I think what's relevant to the OP is knowing that at least it's possible to get a fair insurance deal on the car.

Hey Mike, mind if I ask who you're getting that rate from in CA?

That's because you live in Manhattan! Stupid insurance companies associate Manhattan with people not driving their cars because of lack of parking, traffic etc and using other means of transportation,so less risk. At least that's what has been explained to me...

Not at all. CIG (Capital Insurance Group) I switched all of my insurance over to them after Mercury tried to hose me. GEICO had a rate that was a little higher but in the ballpark if you're looking for a stand alone auto policy.

Most insurance Companies always try to hose you. Every year my Insurance Company tries to play me for a fool and put me over a barrel. I use a Broker who I met 13 years ago and he always takes care of me w/o diminishing any of the necessary coverage. My Insurance company tried to raise me $600 this year between house and cars and he got them to keep it the same. What a scam

+1.

I'm with GEICO and have 300/500 coverage with $1k deductible for what amounts to $100 / month.

Tim turned me onto GEICO when I got my car and it really helped...half the price of Mercury. Switched all of our cars over, and house, and umbrella. Very happy. Thanks Tim!
