Default Euro delivery of Turbo instead of GT3- By the numbers

Loaner - White 991 Turbo
Km's at pickup - 1800
Highest Speed on Autobahn - 210km (wife restricted)
Total km's of trip - 3325 km
Trip time - 24 days
Cities visited - Stuttgart,Freiburg, Colmar, Paris, Dijon, Lyon, Nice, Monaco, Milan, Ascona, Biel.
Speeding tickets i'm sure of - 2 photo radar in France
Info gathered about the engine replacements while on factory tour - None
# of 991 GT3's seen in and around the Factory - 1 and it was literally the last Porsche we saw leaving the factory after spending two full days there. I found it hidden away in the back of the dealership lot (beside museum) on our way to take the train back to Stuttgart.
918's seen - 1
Croissants eaten-45 (wife restricted)
Laps on F1 race track - 1 (Monaco)
Highest Speed on track - 62km through the tunnel
Bitter rival on track - Some chick who kept passing me on a road bike!
Race starts - 4 (f#cking amazing!!)
Money spent on gas - 550 euro's

This was my first ever euro delivery and after this trip it won't be my last. Porsche was very accommodating in every regard, and everything was handled very easily. I think it actually worked in our favour getting a turbo instead as it handled the luggage a little better, and was a great car to spend an extended trip in. The retracting front splitter is a great idea as it managed to clear every crazy park aide we threw at it, something I'm sure the GT3 would not have been able to do (front lift or not). Plus it was nice putting that many Km's on someone else's car. The highlight was Monaco for sure, as i just wanted to see the course but turning a corner and realizing I got to drive it, blew my mind. Setup was mostly done now with all the grandstands up and workers throwing some paint here and there. Dream come true for sure.

Pic's and video's to follow

I love the town of Ascona in Switzerland! I stayed in the hotel painted 'bright yellow' in the attached photo. Our room had frontal views of Lago Maggiore! Wonderful memories.

Make sure you frame the two photos the 'National Gendarmerie' will send you, via Porsche's European Delivery office. They'll trace your duty-free plates. The photos will make lovely souvenirs of your trip..at speed!

Jordan. Epic overview of your trip. I also did ED (991 GT3 December 2013). It was such a wonderful experience and I drove so many great roads I will also definitely be back to do this again!
