Porsche 991 GT3 Wrecked In UK With Only 80 Miles On The Clock
#151
I still think based on experiences I've had in 991s, this could have easily been a sensor/component failure if the OP is telling the truth about the speed and conditions. It's not like the GT3 is known for it's bulletproof reliability at this point.

We don't know how it copes with ballistic agents yet, just flammable ones. There could still be hope for bulletproofing... ...

Here, BB would "dump" the computer. Not unlike what Porsche did for the Paul Walker Carrera GT crash.
Cars will continue to "tell" on their drivers which is an incospicuous way of putting a blanket on bad behavior street-shenanigans.
Lost liberty.

Certainly not the Lone Ranger "in the rain". Here's another courtesy of Wrecked Exotics. Tampa FL. http://www.wreckedexotics.com/newpho...era-9804.shtml

Surely no less competent than anybody else with a fat checkbook who runs out of "talent".
In the old days a lot of Turbos went in backwards after the Turbo came on boost "mid-turn" due to driver error and the "original" cars tendency for turbo lag. Sent a few to the Pearly Gates too soon. Porsche ended up giving driver training. California led the way with lawsuits. Emissions shut down the car for a few years.
The later cars were "de-fanged" imho. Still fast but not the same rawness.
The 1st ones were fun cars. When the "fuse lit" all hell broke loose even in a straight line. Last one I drove was a '76 with a K27 and headers. It was hairy. Most powerful 260 hp I've ever felt. The torque was awesome.

I have one of these cars. Boost mid corner is one thing. Coming off-boost mid corner is a whole 'nother can o worms.

Burning Brakes
seems relevant..in yday's Top Gear..one JC...he of the Jeremy mold...managed to speed test a M135i in a straight line...and aquaplane at 120mph....followed by 1/4 mile of pirouettes....and much damnation from mr. clarkson of the Bimmer's singular lack of handling prowess.
made for a merry comparison against the Golf GTi....
(hamster endeavoured to critique Jezza for his ineptitude in a straight line....but really Richard can't quite hold that candle)

Sounds like he hit standing water. I didn't believe it until it happened to me at the track on MSSs. Sent me spinning. As someone above said "they can be weird in the cold and wet".
