What's this ? 992 GT3?

 

Porsche sent me a different version of this ad that was geared specifically toward the Taycan. I tried to copy/paste the link but it won't work. I'm sure many of you received it. Such a corny ad campaign. But it probably appeals to potential Taycan buyers.

Here is the email I received this morning from Porsche with the full length commercial. Kinda corny.

Dear Mr. XXXX,

The wait is over. The Heist is here.

I like it. Much more fun than most car commercials.

 

he’s talking about the blue car on top. Not the yellow one. It’s definitely a 992 GT3

 

Ah. Got it. I agree. Porsche has been known to tease new cars in their commercials.....and drop in their tractor too.

I zoomed in on the wing from a slightly different angle. Looks weird. I wonder if it is active aero. What do you guys think?

 

haha. Can’t imagine adm on that tractor. Only 138 were made.

looks like a ducktail and yes somethings up with wing uprights. Can’t wait to see the unveil!

 

I like it but the best Porsche vid will always be "Rebels, Race On". I loved that car!

 

Lower that thing! And the front bumper needs more lip/aero! And the rotors are tiny and no color on the calipers.

I think they are just messing with us because they can.

Ha ha.

 

No... that's definitely it. Remember calipers can be black now, and those rotors aren't small.. rears are 21" now. Also, no rear bumper intercooler vents like on a turbo.. and that's definitely the Gt3 rear bumper shape. Beautiful new wheels.. this is exciting.

I'm equally interested if they are going to option the rally hand-brake now..

Just think.

If Porsche had not gone Electric parking brake on all the 911's, there wouldn't need to be anyone needing to go to all that trouble.

 

If the blue car is the 992 GT3 I do like the wheels but I always preferred the integrated wing rather than than a wing with metal uprights that look like an "add on" like the RS.

I hope they did not go that route.

Also- the scoopes on the .2 GT3 wing has really grown on me and I hope they stay unique to the 991.2.
