6MT GT3 or 3RS
The 3RS i ordered just landed, LG non WP.
i would need to trade my .2 manual gt3 which I was fine with until I started getting worried I’d regret.
I do enjoy the manual a lot but the look of the lizard 3RS is absolutely killer and the 3RS is obviously a sharper drive.
Part of me feels like the 992 will likely retain a manual option and I should just get the RS for now as I can always go back tk the GT3.
Anyway, first world problems I wanted to probe the forum on.

No shortage of opinions here, but curious why you are questioning this now when the car has landed. Seems like that allocation could have gone to someone who was sure they wanted the RS. Unless you are just looking to be talked off the ledge.

992 will be offered in a manual based on the "general RL consensus".....for whatever that's worth

and if you regret it, it won't be hard to find a manual gt3 since what 70% were stick in the US? not a unique snowflake

It's fairly simple in my mind, you have to answer three simple questions (1) Do you plan to track the car more than a couple times a year? if yes, then 3RS. If No, then .2 6MT GT3. (2) Does owning the latest and greatest appeal to you? If yes, then 3RS. if No, then answer this question -- (3) what driving experience are you looking for, (a) absolute PDK efficiency wrapped in a raw, uncompromising engineering masterpiece or (b) more driver input/engagement in a more refined yet still uncompromising masterpiece?
If you really don't care about owning the latest & greatest but want option (a) then 3RS, if you prefer option (b) then .2 6MT GT3.

In the past there were greater differences between a GT3 and GT3 RS. In the 991.2, I believe the lines are a bit more blurred. The cars have basically the same engine, etc. The big difference maker is PDK or manual. I wanted a manual car and turned down the GT3 RS offered to me. Also I do not track the car more than once or twice a year. Regarding the manual transmission, I know one cannot have one in a electric car. I do not know if this is also true for hybrids. Should the new GT vehicles be hybrid, there is a risk that a manual could not be offered.
