Spent time at RUF factory this summer and saw the green one (a non-running buck) and a carbon chassis being made. For my money, I would buy this over gt2rs, or a Singer. In fact I'd want it even over the new 935.. this is road-legal race tech at its best. It's proper unique custom stuff like the inboard suspension and the fact that all the dimensions are actually different from a 911.. only the windows fit. This is a machine with really different tech and provenance, an awesome naturally aspirated engine. All business, all beauty.

The thing that I don't get with this car, is why cover such beautiful technology with a classic "911" shape?
It deserves its own identity.

I love it, superb

But if I had that much cash kicking around I’d see what it would cost to build my ultimate 911. Mine and no one elses

it would be nearer a Singer but based on 911 3.0 RSR bodywork probably based on a 964 donor perhaps an earlier shell and stiffen with a full cage. I’m sure I’d over spend and need to develop it over time. Be great to start with an ex race car and refresh everything then convert to more road spec, with minimal but sufficient sound deadening, revised suspension adding minimal rubbers in place of rose joints etc

The carbon tubbed creations are incredible absolutely unbelievable how such a small manufacturer can create something so advanced yet still looks like a 911.

I'd be very interested to know how they actually drive, what they feel like on the road as they are a long way away from being a Porsche 911.

These cars are like beers made by microbreweries to me. If you have a lot of cash to throw around then ok. Cool and unique but can get a bad batch. Yeah I like beer. This just tells you how good a Porsche 911 is from the factory.

^^100%

Only thing I’d change is the interior finishes but that’s easily sorted in the build. Make mine a NA SCR please.

Would love one of the above.

Would love an RUF made interpretation of the Cayman even more.

That’s the car, if I’m ever able to.
i know I can’t afford it but what’s the rough price range now?
$500-1M?

Whatever happened to the RGT8?

I’m with you. Will call Alois first day after winning lottery.

I think the V8 engine never passed certification
