992 GT3 is in fact going to have an NA engine.

not this $hit again

Flippers delight, seen this coming a mile away. Turbo ftw

I have nothing to base this on, but I am guessing a flat 6 NA hybrid with electric motor between the motor and gearbox. Battery somewhere in rear seat area. Fits with Mission E philosophy.

AP hedged about NA last time he spoke. Something like “we will keep NA as long as we can.”
The current engine does not pass euro emissions and gets a 1 out of 10 on US smog scores. We shall see what the GT3RS second round looks like (particulate filter?).
I hope the 992.1 GT3 is NA (and manual) but there are some significant regulatory hurdles for it to be so.
The GT3 being a 3.8 turbo would differentiate it from the normal 3.0 turbo line. 520hp (autocar say 513hp but that is UK hp) would be a typical HP bump (GT3 gets hp of previous GT3RS). It will be faster than the outgoing GT3RS and they will probably give us a manual.

My humble opinion is that next one will be turbo. Current gt2 is a turbo and has been well received. Test ballon by Porsche to gauge market reaction.
but then again it could be NA. What the hell do I know.

but then gt2 has always been turbo. Im thinking NA + hybrid for low end torque?

GT2 was always turbo, never NA. So it's expected and received well. The GT3 is not. Major change if it goes turbo.
