Equine surgeon for 37 years work 60 hrs per week for 6 months then 40 hrs for six months with time off to play with Cars. No inheritance speak of . Try to get about 6 to 8 track weekends in per year. We have a group that goes together and have a lot of fun. First Porsche was a $200 356 with no engine.
It's been a long road to the GT three
But lots of fun

Drifting
Self-employed Beverly Hills orthopaedic surgeon. I am on RL several times a day because it is a nice diversion to take my mind off of the many stresses of running a business/practice. I have disposable income because I have no wife and no kids, just a princess of a dog who joins me at the office every day. Quite an impressive group here on RL!

I’ve been obsessed with cars my entire life and have been working in the Auto Industry for the past 33 years. My passion for Porsche was forged while working at a Porsche dealer in college during the 944, 928 and 930 era. My work life and personal life often get blurred to such an extent that I sometimes forgot why I’m at a motor show, an auction or an F1 race. I’ve been blessed to have a satisfying career doing what I love and working for iconic brands such as Lotus, Ferrari and Bentley. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some amazing people and to meet a few of my heroes along the way like Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher and Derek Bell. Rennlist is an entertaining diversion for me where I can relate to the colorful commentary of other like minded fanatics.

thats fun! to shoot and eat them afterwards?
i´m in agricultural.
startet with 15 y/o to work 40-60 h/week
first 7 years as design engineer. boooring! sitting in front of the screen 80% of the time... but it helped a lot to get the basics.
designed soil preparation machines.
designed dirt bikes. (the only not AG related job)
sold multible years hundreds of combines and headers.
started own business.
consulting in AG trading.
invent machines for biological farming.
...
what i always do and did is some trading with - puh... tires, machines, cars, chicken, houses - i just bought what i found and wanted - and sold if i thought the time is right or i needed the money for smth else.
- cash is king. (this holds me back sometimes i guess)
- i can´t earn that little - to be not able to save a little.
but i also never had any form of saving - keept ALL my money on the check/giro account --> nervous if a lot is on it. also nervous if nothing is on it.
from the first cent till now - self made.
parents had a "real job" / sub 50k a year (both together)
and it was clear for me that i never want something regular - learned to speak and listen. and pushed myself to find people who are better than myself. found a couple of them also in here!
hopefully i´m still "at the start" with a bit over 30.
if you think for oneself / if you do your own stuff - time/flexibility is getting great as soon the own family grows.
or as soon you discover RL
with kids and in here - you learn the same things
