Default 991.2GT3 to 991.2GT3RS

Guys....curious....as this forum is all about Indecisiveness , and on this Sunny Monday !! ( well at least here ) I just needed to ask as it always gives me pleasure knowing there is someone else out there in the same boat as me.......

I wanted to know how many guys are going to jump from the .2 GT3 to the .2 GT3RS , I was just informed that I am getting allocation , delivery late 2018 into early 2019. I currently have a .2 with manual. Its actually very nice to drive. I know many of you guys were sitting on the fence as was I but decided to go with the manual. Only drove a few blocks , still cold as SH-T up here in Canada. But whatever the temp , it will turn soon enough and I am ready to hammer through those gears. BTW , no I cannot feel the extra hp. Yes I agree with all of you , the extra cost of the RS and only a 20hp change seems like a let down , , but same can be said with the GT3 ,

Anyway........back to the issue at hand. Yes I know two different cars , I was just curious if anyone is getting a .2 GT3RS allocation and staying with the .2 GT3 instead??

I plan to jump despite the fact I love the .2GT3. My thinking is if the .2GT3 is that good, the RS must be several levels above it. Also, I really like the aggressive look of the RS compared to the GT3. The down side to the RS is it does have an aftermarket look and the $40,000 delta.

I’m jumping...trading in my GT3.2 for Lizard Green RS. I also have a GT3.1 RS which I’m keeping as my track car of choice, I love that thing!

I went from .1GT3 to RS and now with .2Touring and going to go back to RS when RS comes to the states. If you can have both for the Manual/Street and PDK/Track stable I highly recommend it. I do feel the cars are different, same spectrum but diff levels of car. The RS is just the best track machine barring a 675LT or such. The .2 Manual is great on the track just not in the same league. On the street I much prefer the Touring but if I could only have one it would be the RS for sure.

"GT3 Manual is a GT3 Manual" - would never make the jump unless I was looking for a dedicated track car or I wanted to show people how big my dong is.

GT3 Manual is so freakin fun and will go down as one of the best manuals ever coupled with an incredible engine

As you may be aware there is no WP option on this first batch in the UK ..I'm only interested in the WP RS, so will keep my GT3 until later in the year to get a WP RS in the second round. It sounds as if you can get WP in mainland Europe in the first run which makes it even more painful for the first UK owners.
Are you Chris happy with the Lizard WP combo as its exactly what i want but unsure on the aesthetics..I'm also holding out to get the Mag wheels for the ultimate RS..Nothing wrong with a bit of wishful thinking to while away the wait...

If the RS had a manual it wouldn't even be a question except for how to justify another 40k to the house O-6 for essentially the same car....in her eyes.
If i actually keep this manual GT3 then the next one will be an RS to join it.

I agree. I would never trade out the .2 Manual but would buy some thing in addition to it

This ^ That’s what I’ll be doing when I get my allocation. Keep the Touring and add the RS

I like Lizard green with and without WP. I actually think the car looks just a touch better without WP but there a couple of elements of the WP that I like so I am going to get it. I don't like the WP wheels and actually prefer the standard wheels so the fact that they are not available until next year doesn't bother me. And I don't want to wait until next year...I want it for the summer track season.

Yep, me too. Keeping my Touring. Swapping out my white GT3.2 PDK for the RS.
