If you could choose any 2 Porsches
The question is inspired by a thread on the Boxster/Cayman forum where a poster asked about whether 911 Owners later bought a 981 or 718.
Seems a a lot of us have been cycling through different Porsches trying to find the perfect stable of 2 (at least those of us who can afford 2 but can’t afford or justify or manage to keep 3 or more).
so what is your current theory?
come May, I’ll take delivery of a GT3 Touring which will join my 981 Spyder, a pair I’m hoping will keep me happy for awhile. I’m more of a weekend driver who likes to take my car on a long drive through twisty country roads (southeast Ohio for me), and thanks to Smokies GT, at least annually to a track and some more varied mountain drives.
Certainly if I were more into tracking, an RS or at least a winged GT3 with PDK would be more of a want and/or a GT4. But I’ve already been there/done that for awhile when I had a 991.1 GT3 and a GT4 at same time. For whatever reason, GT4 just didn’t click with me as much as I’d hoped. I’m finding the 981 Spyder a lot more fun than I remember the GT4 being. And the GT4 wasn’t near as exciting or eventful to drive aggressively in the mountains as the 991.1 GT3 was, despite my love for a manual transmission.

Money no object? 991 GT2 RS and a 918.
Real money? My current 991.2 GT3 PDK and either a new Cayenne S with the 2.9 turbo or the refreshed Macan Turbo with the same 2.9 turbo. That’ll be the baby hauler for the wife.

Both money no object and with my own money: 991.2 GT3 (with wing) GT Silver (incoming) and 993 Arctic Silver on Black C2S 6 speed (will own someday)
