Default Weight question for 991.2 GT3

Hi

Any of you know the weight differences of the following options:

Extra capacity gas tank vs normal

PCCB vs Steel

Bucket seats vs Adaptive Sport

Bose vs regular

Normal vs Touring Package

Manual vs PDK (I believe that is easy to find on the website, but just throwing that in also)

Just curious and wondering why I ordered the bigger tank! I put in about 1/3 tank 101 octane in it last night and it came out to $124! Yikes! That is the most i have even spent on gas for any car at any gas station! LOL!

Do you really need/realistically benefit from 101 in a modern GT3 though?

In California, we only get 91 super unleashed while certain cars are tuned for 93. I always like to mix my tanks to get at least 93 on those cars.

Makes sense, but is 101 (at that price) worth it compared to relatively cheap octane boosters?

That sounds about the same as filling up the tank in Europe during European Delivery. 90L at €1.50/L sure does add up

And how about the weight of the different headlights? I read here that someone thought the LED's were heavier, but do they need a heavy ballast like the stock HID lights?

The fuel tank is worth the weight to me. I hate filling up every session at the track.

why not put in a lithium battery and drop 30lbs?

Porsche is thinning the needles on their gauges to save 11 grams, and they still have a lead acid battery? Bizarro........

Wow i'd never thought of that. How safe are lithium batteries from overheating in a P car?

Yes to all of the above.

Now for the real question.

I'm too lazy to STFF. I'm too important. I expect others to answer to me because I'm on the links enjoying myself.

spoke to someone at Porsche exclusive once who told me the extended range fuel tank actually saves 14 lbs because it is made of lightweight materials. Can’t remember what it’s made of though. Can someone confirm?

And the 30 pound savings is usually when picking the larger capacity Lithium batteries. (the ones that don't need to be on a trickle charger every day). Each company has a range of capacities that vary by weight.

If you want to go "bleeding edge", you could probably save 40+ pounds with a racing LiFe. On my R8, they have an ENORMOUS battery, and a 50lbs savings is easily achievable.

Also, a Lithium battery typically will outlast your ownership with the car. I have seen them last 8 years and still work great. Braille is probably the biggest out there right now, but Voltfreaks is another promising brand.
